I have over the course of my lifetime lost maybe a half ton or more. The trouble is, I have gained it back and more. It's not that I don't know how to lose weight, in fact I may be an expert on the subject. I have Counted Calories, followed the Zone, went Vegetarian, won Challenges and on and on. Now all of these plans work if you are consistent. and disciplined enough to stick with it. That might be the issue? Consistency. I know that any foods in moderation should be okay for me. But there is one food that I consistently have a hard time taking in moderation and worse yet it is my favorite thing to make in the kitchen. It is in the lead picture here. Bread !! I love to eat it and I love to bake it. Can't stop.
My blog mirrors my efforts at losing weight. I am not consistent enough in writing. Its not that I stop cooking. I enjoy cooking and do it regularly. I have many pictures stored away of meals or dishes that I have created with the intention of blogging and then, I don't. But I have heard it said that you only fail if you stop trying. So once again I will try to lose some weight and exercise more regularly. I'll let you know from time to time how it is going. I intend to search out some lighter fair dishes to make and blog about. Mean while, here are a couple of starchy dishes that I have made recently. Spicy Chicken Rigatoni, from Centercutcook.com and Smoky Shrimp and Rice Pilaf from Laurainthekitchen.com.
